The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA), in line with the objective of the ‘Year of Family’ to promote family wellbeing, has extended the activation period for housing construction, demolition and reconstruction, and maintenance loans. The decision reflects ADHA’s commitment to providing flexible housing services that empower beneficiaries to build and maintain their homes efficiently.

This extension responds to ongoing developments in the construction market and change in project execution costs. It offers beneficiaries additional time to plan, make informed decisions, as well as choose contractors and consultants based on approved quality and efficiency standards at an appropriate cost.
Under the decision, the activation period for housing construction, demolition and reconstruction and maintenance loans has been extended by two years. This will help ease pressures associated with planning and carrying out housing projects, providing sufficient time to ensure high-quality execution. In addition, ADHA will continue to perform regular, comprehensive reviews and take measures to ease the burden on citizens, enabling them to secure suitable housing.
The extension highlights ADHA’s long-standing vision to develop innovative housing solutions and programs that cater to evolving beneficiary needs and market conditions. It further contributes to consolidating the stability and well-being of Emirati families, while enhancing their overall quality of life and positioning family needs at the heart of all housing policies and related initiatives.
